In two weeks, during the summer solstice, Allie's going to face the biggest challenge of her life, fighting against time to save the world from a Trimark invasion. You'd think the world of weird might leave her alone to plan how she's going to survive. But nothing in Allie's world is simple or easy, especially when she's attacked by Trimarks trying to steal the moonstone. Then Sammie disappears into the faery world of Boundless, and Allie must follow and bring her home, only to find the fairy queen, Luminata, isn't about to let Allie leave. So, what's a girl with magical powers supposed to do?

Fortunately, she has a team to help her, a team with special talents of their own.

Meet Beck Bradford

We first meet Beck Bradford and his twin sister, Nicole, in book 2, Moon Rise. The twins, half demon, half mortal, are new to Peacock Flats. Their mother, Melissa, is a writer of Christian fiction and a devout Catholic. She brings the twins back to her late father’s home, a place rumored to be haunted by the ghost of old Mr. Bradford. Beck, a natural healer, knows Allie has psychic wounds and has to earn her trust in order to help her. A teenage romance ensues. Beck makes brief appearances in books 3 and 4, but plays an important role in Midnight Moon. Let’s find out more about Beck Bradford.

Q. You and Allie were a hot item for a while. What happened?

Beck: I left for college. And then I screwed up and ruined a good thing.

Q. How did you screw up?

Beck: Simple answer, I’m half lust demon. Sometimes that part of me takes over. You have no idea how hard it is to fight it.

Q. So, there you were at a big university surrounded by hundreds of beautiful young women. Too much for the demon to handle?

Beck: At the time, yes. The older I get, the more control I have. No excuses, though. I hurt Allie and I’ll always regret it.

Q. Any chance of you two getting back together?

Beck: Probably not. You’ve heard of Junior Martinez …right?

Q. Rumor has it you and Nicole will be helping Allie the night of the summer solstice. What prompted you to volunteer for such a dangerous assignment?

Beck: Why not? I’d do anything for Allie. I’m pumped and ready to kick some serious Trimark butt. Looking forward to it, in fact.

Q. What skills will you bring to the fight?

Beck: I know this sounds strange, but after nightfall, I get bigger and stronger. You might even say I have super-human strength. Nicole too. And, both of us have superior night vision. Since the action’s coming down at midnight, I have to think our special abilities will give us an edge.

Q. Where will this epic battle take place?

Beck: At an undetermined location. Actually, we’re working on that issue right now.

Q. How many Trimarks will you be fighting?

Beck: Don’t know. Probably a lot.

Q. Wow, that’s a lot of unanswered questions, yet you seem confident. Is there something you’re not telling me?

Beck: (grins) No worries. Team Allie is made up of five people. All of us have, um, special abilities so it’s going to be a hellava fight. Can’t wait.

Q. Okay, good luck. Hope you’re around to tell us about it later.

Beck: You can count on it.
