All things fall.

Even Witches.

Supreme in their dominion over seasons, storms, and sea, the Witches have forgotten the unmatched destructiveness of mankind. And among the weapons men seek are the magical songs of the Witches.

Lilette is one of the few who see the decadence and decay weakening the Witches. As an outsider amid her own kind, can she help them survive the coming war?

My Review

I just finished reading books 1 & 2 of this series (Witch Song and Witch Born) and while I really enjoyed them, I was completely taken in by this book. Witch Fall is a prequel to the first two books and even though I knew what the ending would be from the previous books, I still found Witch Fall to be really engaging.

The main character in this book is Lilette and she suffered through a hell of a lot. From the start of the book to the end Lilette faced many challenges and struggled with them as any person would. She was a strong character with just the right amount of faults to keep her believable and interesting and I felt close to her and was captured by her story.

There is also a prequel to this book (yes, it is a prequel to a prequel) called Witch Rising which I read befire starting this book but it is only a short, novella-length book and just gives you a quick introduction to how Lilette came to be where she is at the start of Witch Fall, and what she went through. If you plan on reading this book I would definitely recommend reading Witch Rising first.

The pacing of this book was good and the story had me engaged the whole time. Lilette was a fantastic main character and I loved being able to read her story, especially after just finishing Witch Born. I thought this book was the best of the series and if you are a fan of Amber Argyle I definitely recommend you read this book. Now! A delightful end (or beginning!) to this series.

  1. Yay this sounds like such a great series! I already like Lilette from all the reviews I've been reading it seems like a wonderful character. I'm glad you liked this one. I love that it's not just another paranormal book but it has depth and genuine emotion, too!

  2. I have been following this tour, drooling over these books. I really love the entire world Amber Argyle seems to have built to accompany her witches. I would very much love to win this series.
